If you’re seeking a compact SUV with impressive versatility, know that the 2021 Honda CR-V does just about everything well, which earned it an Editors’ Choice award when it first came out. The two-row Honda provides an attractive and spacious cabin bolstered by bountiful storage solutions that are perfect for pack rats and road trips. While neither of its four-cylinder powertrains—one turbocharged, one hybrid—are especially quick, both have notable fuel-economy ratings.

It comes with a turbocharged 1.5-litre engine that makes 190 horsepower and is paired with one of the best continuously variable automatic transmissions (CVTs) available. While most compact crossovers have little towing abilities, the CR-V has one of the lowest at 1500 pounds, which means it cannot tow something really heavy.

Honda gave the Accord and Accord Hybrid models a light styling refresh for 2021, including a tweaked grille design, new optional LED headlamps, new alloy wheel designs, and a new colour: Sonic Gray Pearl. The cabin gains the previously optional 8.0-inch infotainment display as standard equipment across the range.

The 2021 Accord also boasts standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which offer a wireless connection on EX-L and Touring trims. Honda has relocated the Accord’s USB ports for easier access and has also introduced a Sport SE trim which combines the now-defunct EX trim’s equipment with the Sport trim’s styling.

The 2021 Accord lineup starts with a 192-hp turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder and also has a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder that produces 252 horsepower and is paired with a 10-speed automatic that shifts with an almost seamless nature.
