Nigeria never falls behind when it comes to showcasing its vibrant culture. Recently, Ola of Lagos shared a video of a grandma driving a 200 million naira Benz GT R coupe V8 Biturbo in South Africa, capturing the essence of Naija vibes. The Mercedes-AMG GT R Coupe is a limited-edition sports car, with a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine that produces a whopping 577 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque.
Ola of Lagos, who was in South Africa for a show, spotted the GT R Coupe on what looked like a highway in Cape Town. The car was being driven by a middle-aged woman, whom he addressed as Grandma, and he couldn’t help but express his admiration for the car in his video.
The company assembles the engine by hand at its site in Affalterbach, following the “One Man, One Engine” principle. The GT R boasts aerodynamic upgrades such as extra wings, wider bodywork, and a more eye-catching colour scheme.
