The Lagos State Government has stated that it will begin to enforce the regulations of the TSRL on the registration of all vehicles on the state’s roads. This is in line with the provisions of the law which aims to enhance the safety and protection of residents.

According to Engr. Abdulhafiz Toriola, the permanent secretary of the ministry of transportation, the enforcement of the regulations are aimed at checking the activities of criminal elements who have been using unregistered vehicles to carry out attacks on unsuspecting members of the public. This is because it is difficult for law enforcers to monitor and trace these activities.

According to the state’s permanent secretary, Lawal tiola, the registration of vehicles using number plates is a vital component of the security of the residents of the state. He stated that the enforcement agencies would begin the process of impounding vehicles without number plates in order to promote the safety and protection of Lagosians.
