As time passes and technology advances, the supercar market grows and grows, pushing the boundaries of innovation, engineering and style. If you have bottomless pockets then the list of cars available to you is endless. The cost of some of these staggeringly expensive vehicles isn’t the only thing that’s eye-watering, and some of the specifications will blow your mind. Here are five cars you won’t believe actually exist. And unfortunately, you’re unlikely ever to see them on the road>> Top 10 People Who Own the World Most Expensive Car

Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

This supercar is valued at £1.7 million – 925 million naira, the Veyron Super Sport is one of the cheaper cars on the list. Only 30 versions of this 1,200 bhp monster were ever made. Despite being one of the cheaper options (if almost £2m can ever be considered to be cheap), the Veyron is also the fastest, with a top speed of 267 mph making it the fastest production car ever. In fact, the Veyron is so fast that in order to stop the tyres from completely disintegrating, it is electronically limited to 258 mph.

Ferrari LaFerrari

The Ferrari LaFerrari is so good that they named it twice. With 950 bhp under the bonnet, it can reach top speeds of over 220 mph on a track, meaning that this car is the ultimate rocket. Each unit of the 499 that were built costs well in excess of £1 million – 544 million naira but, for a car of this pedigree and speed, this is hardly surprising.

Also known as the F70 and the F150, it was originally rumoured that the LaFerrari was designed to weigh under 1,000 kg as part of the Millechilli Project. This rumour, however, proved unfounded, with the completed LaFerrari having a dry weight of 1,255 kg.

In spite of this, the weight has clearly not impacted LaFerrari’s speed, with the car reaching 62 mph in under 3 seconds and 124 mph in under 7 seconds. What’s more, if you’ve got a sudden need for speed, the LaFerrari can get you to 186 mph in 15 seconds.

All of this means that the LaFerrari can complete a lap of the infamous Fiorano Test Circuit in under 1 minute and 20 seconds, making it the fastest road-legal Ferrari ever produced.

Lamborghini Veneno

Meaning venom in Spanish and Portuguese, the Veneno is a mindboggling crazy car. With a top speed of 220 mph and 740 bhp under the bonnet, it’s almost as powerful as the LaFerrari, making speed its primary feature.

If you thought that the LaFerrari was expensive, however, then think again. Only four of the Veneno’s were ever made, and all three production models that were made available to the public were sold immediately.

Designed and produced to mark the 50th Anniversary of Lamborghini, each of the three cars was red, white or green, with each colour representing a segment of the Italian flag. Car Zero, as it is known, is housed in the Lamborghini museum. The price for one of these three pieces is €3.12 million – 1.44 billion naira.

Lykan HyperSport

The Lykan HyperSport is the first supercar to be produced in the Middle East, and it is the third most expensive car to ever be made. In total, seven units of the car will be produced, with each one costing $3.4 million – 1.4 billion naira

The car is not yet complete, but the first HyperSport was on display at the Dubai Motor Show in November 2013… and it looked stunning. Its looks and its exclusivity, however, are not the only draws, as it is quicker than both the LaFerrari and the Veneno, with a top speed of 245 mph.

The car’s price tag comes from the optional extras that it includes, with the car boasting holographic displays, a bejewelled interior and diamond or ruby headlights. The most staggering part of it remains that, at that price, people are still placing deposits for their piece of motoring history.

Pagani Zonda Revolución

The Pagani Zonda Revolución has all the power of a supercar with all the engineering skills of a Mercedes. The aerodynamic technology involved is intended for Formula One cars but, when you have 800 bhp under the bonnet, you need the support for that kind of power. A high price tag may put it out of reach to all but a few collectors or celebrities, but the fact that Pagani has stopped building Zondas means that it’s pretty much out of reach for everyone else as well. The Revolución, we’re told, will be the last Zonda off the production line, meaning that it’s the end of an era for this true motoring classic.

Only 5 of the Revolucións were ever built and they went on sale at a hefty €2.2 million – 1.02 billion naira plus taxes. Still, as you would expect, all were sold immediately, marking a spectacular end to the Zonda era at Pagani. It’s what a car this great deserves.

So, there you have it, five of the most impressive, expensive and fastest supercars ever put into production. We can’t believe that some of these actually exist, can you?
