Recently, a flying car concept named Terrafugia TF-X that will be able to take off and land vertically has been designed.
This flying car is going to be a hybrid electric flying car that can seat four passengers and reach speeds of 320km/h (200mph).
The car comes with retractable wings which fold into the body of the car when driving and unfurl when preparing to take off.
Because this car you are seeing can easily take off and land vertically like a helicopter, there is no need for a runaway.
This means you will be able to take off and land practically anywhere without issues.
According to the Automobili Terrafugia, the driver will simply need to tell the car where to go, and it will fly towards the commanded direction.
One megawatt of power will then lift the car off the ground and a ducted fan will thrust it through the air.
The TX-F will have a cruising speed of 320km/h and 800km (500 miles of range0.

Terrafugia also states that it will be totally autonomous in the air.
All the driver will need to do is sit back, relax , and enjoy the ride and view.
Once this flying car reaches cruising speeds, the propellers will automatically fold down-making it more aerodynamic in the air.
And when you reach your final destination, the car will land on its own.
This will give the driver plenty of time to sleep and wake up from a nap during the flight.
Once the car lands, the wings will fold into the body and it will become road-worthy again.
From there, the driver will be able to drive it home, and fit neatly inside their car park.
This flying car is going to introduce door-to-door travel in one car, you can imagine how convenient and interesting the experience will be.
