The long-awaited all-new 2025 Toyota 4Runner has finally arrived and will be available for sale this fall. The V6 option is no longer available. The fifth generation 4Runner shares a TNGA-F platform with the new Tacoma, but unlike the Land Cruiser, it offers a third row, a roll-down rear window, and a more modern look inside and out. The wheelbase of the 4Runner is almost 20 inches shorter than the Tacoma at 112.2 inches.
The i-Force MAX powertrain is the top-of-the-line option, which uses a 2.4L Turbo 4 engine combined with a hybrid system to produce an impressive 326HP and 465 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain can be paired with a part-time or full-time 4×4 system with a 2-speed transfer case.
The standard powertrain is the powerful i-FORCE 2.4L Turbo 4-cylinder engine that produces 278HP and 317 lb-ft of torque. It is available in RWD or full-time 4×4 with a 2-speed transfer case and can tow up to 6,000 lbs.
Aside from the Limited, Trailhunter, and TRD Pro trims, there will still be an SR5 trim, TRD Sport, Sport Premium, Limited, TRD Pro, TRD Off-Road, Off-Road Premium, Trailhunter, and Platinum. The interior of the 4Runner is similar to that of the Tacoma, featuring a digital cluster, a massive 14-inch screen, and more.
