Tesla Cybertruck buyers, set to receive their vehicles in November, are prohibited from reselling the electric pickup during the first year, according to newly released sale terms.

The company added a clause titled “For Cybertruck Only” to its Motor Vehicle Order Agreement, stating that attempting to sell the vehicle within the first year could lead to a $50,000 (50 million naira) penalty or the value received for the sale, whichever is greater.

Elon Musk aims to produce a quarter of a million Cybertrucks annually by 2025, marking Tesla’s entry into the competitive electric pickup truck market.
