Is the Tesla Cybertruck Delivery Overhyped?

Tesla officially handed over a few customer Cybertrucks today at Giga Texas and quietly revealed the vague specs that fall short of original promises in terms of range and pricing. Some cool highlights: The Cybertrucks features a Tesla-designed steel alloy along with a unique exoskeleton chassis, Armor glass and one exterior spec: exposed stainless steel.

Spec Sheet:

There will be 3 Cybertrucks for now, until Elon decides to change everything which may or may not happen.

The Cybertruck is also debuting a lot of firsts for Tesla, such as a 48v general electrical architecture in conjunction with the battery EV system, 4 wheel steering, steer by wire, a new advanced adaptive air suspension, and more like locking differentials. Inside is a 18.5in touchscreen with a 9.4in rear screen. Pricing is steeper than expected from the 2019 unveil date and range estimates fall short of the promised “500 miles” and starting $40,000 price, and no mega charging capability as also promised.
