Around 300 individuals in the US placed down deposits for the first electric vehicle from the luxury carmaker, Rolls-Royce, according to its CEO, Torsten Muller-Otvos. The company unveiled its first electric car, the Spectre, on Tuesday. Muller-Otvos said that some of the buyers visited the company’s headquarters in England to get a sneak peek at the car.
The two-door coupe of the luxury car brand is sleek and has a range of about 320 miles. It can go from 0 to 60 in 4.4 seconds. The company has said that by 2030, all of its products will be electric.
“Once they have seen it here, they are delighted,” he said. “The order book looks strong.”
The new Lamborghini Huracan is the most expensive electric vehicle on the market. It’s also the first car in a new category that’s designed to cater to the needs of ultra-luxury car buyers. According to Muller-Otvos, the company’s decision to make EVs is a natural progression for the brand, as its cars are already known for their smooth ride and quick acceleration.
According to Muller-Otvos, the new model should be different from the company’s other models. It should be stable, have long-lasting materials, and have silent propulsion.
During an interview, Muller-Otvos refused to provide details about the sales goals or targets for the upcoming Spectre. In 2021, the company had a record year in terms of production and sales. He noted that the company’s great SUVs, such as the Cullinan, are grouped together with its great cars, such as the Ghost.
The new Spectre features an illuminated front panel with 22 LED lights. It also has a flowing aerodynamic feature that’s modelled after the design of racing yachts and the company’s new digital intelligence system, Spirit. The hood ornament known as Spirit of Ecstasy was also updated.
