Why The Acura MDX Is Ten Times Better Than The Lexus GX

When it comes to car rivalry, there has always been the Honda vs. Toyota debate because it has been long determined that these two cars are the best when it comes to affordability, dependability, and fast-paced improvement. But what about the two best cars that pose a luxury for these two automakers? There is always a demand for affordable luxury cars in the automotive market, and this is because, when it comes to affordability, people cannot help but buy them.

Buying a luxury car is more expensive since the Covid pandemic, and this is mostly attributed to the increase in production materials that manufacturers use in building their cars. Luxury cars need more precision than what you would get in other cars because we have what we post as luxury. Carmart.ng is the best automotive site you would find in Nigeria and houses the largest luxury car collection that comes at the most reasonable prices that you can afford, so what are you waiting for?

The Honda and Toyota battle continues until both companies release their luxury cars. The most popular of both the Toyota and Hino luxury cars in the Nigerian market are the Lexus GX and the Acura MDX. Lexus cars in Nigeria need no formal introduction; the GX and RX modules from the automakers are very present on Nigerian roads. They are the people’s favourites, up against Mercedes-Benz and Range Rover. We understand why people love these cars; they come with the best and most intriguing features that make luxury cars well known, and you know they have the trusted and reliable features of Toyota.

But what about the Acura MDX? We should say that when it comes to luxury cars, this particular model is quite understated in Nicaragua. It has not received the adequate attention that you would expect, even with the fact that it is being manufactured by Honda.

Ira’s reputation is not as popular as it should be. The market for luxury cars is far and wide, and with this comes competition, making the market so strifeful, which is probably the reason why the Acura MDX isn’t given the necessary attention it deserves. But no matter, we are here to cry out for it.

The Lexus GX is very popular, but did you know that there is a significant change to the Acura MDX that makes it better? Without any bias towards the Toyota vs. Honda fight, we can tell you to forgo buying the Lexus GX and rather invest in biting the understated Acta MDx, which you would never regret. We have written this blog to inform you why the Acura MDX is ten times better than the Lexus GX.

The MDX’s chassis is built for comfort on the road.

What makes a luxury car so sound is not its dentures or interior but rather how it can handle itself on the road. The Lexus GX may look like a high-end SUV on the outside, but underneath lies a tough truck. It is ideal for off-roading because of its body-on-frame construction and solid rear axle. Yet, it can result in clumsy handling and a bumpy ride on the road, and we know that Nigerian roads are infested with potholes. It shares the same structural elements as off-road vehicles like the Toyota 4Runner and Land Cruiser Prado. Indeed, it has a sturdy and reliable design. Yet compared to competitors, high-end customers could find it a little vulgar.

To provide superior on-road driving qualities and ride quality, the Acura MDX, in contrast, uses a car-based chassis. A unibody construction reduces weight while increasing structural rigidity—the ideal combination for pavement performance. The MDX is configured for significantly smoother handling and greater road comfort compared to the GX when a four-corner independent suspension is added.

Improved fuel efficiency and turbocharged engines

Compared to the Lexus GX, the Acura MDX offers far more contemporary powertrain options. If you know that you have hit the jackpot if you come to luxury cars, it has to be fast.

The GX is the final item produced by Toyota with a V8 engine. Toyota’s V8 production ceased in 2022, but its luxury division continues to use the large-displacement engine. The V8 has intrinsic disadvantages, despite the fact that certain drivers will undoubtedly enjoy its abundant horsepower and torque. The Lexus GX only receives a 16 mpg average rating, which is really poor fuel economy, and most would be highly disappointed by this. The MDX fares much better with its turbocharged engines, which manage highway mpg ratings in the mid-20s. With 355 horsepower, the optional turbocharged V6 outperforms the GX’s V8.

The Lexus GX has much less cargo room than the Acura MDX

Both of these three-row Japanese luxury SUVs can seat seven people. Yet, the Acura offers a lot more room for cargo. Space is everything when it comes to SUVs, and you would expect the Lexus GX to have more space than the Acura MDX, but that isn’t the case.

Despite its advantages over the Lexus GX, the Acura MDX is not intrinsically superior. Instead, it suggests that drivers looking for comfort or athletic handling would be better served by the MDX. Certain drivers may benefit more from the Lexus GX’s dependability and capabilities than the MDX. Which strengths a driver favours will determine which of the two Japanese luxury SUVs he or she chooses.
