The director of the currently trending Netflix original series, Tim Burton, has a Batmobile that was also used in his Batman movies. Now, the hypercar is up for sale. But the bad news is that the car costs the same as a Bugatti Veyron.

This Batmobile was developed specifically for the 1989 film Batman, which Tim Burton also directed. The same car was also used in the 1992 sequel Batman Returns.

This Batmobile is actually based on a Chevrolet Impala. The body panels were created from scratch and made from fibreglass.

The interior is a bit spartan and confusing, with two thin leather seats and a dashboard full of dials, knobs, and buttons.

The craziest part of the car is the engine because a Jet Turbine powers the Batmobile, delivering over 10,000 horsepower.

The car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, which is basically the same as your average supercar today.

The top speed, however, is extremely impressive at 530 km/h (330 mph).

The car is placed on a price tag of $1.5 million, which makes it only slightly cheaper than a Bugatti Veyron.

But as Warner Bros made just two cars for the films, it’s even rare than the Veyron.

About Tim Burton’s Batman Movie

Tim Burton directed the 1989 movie Batman and its 1992 sequel, Batman Returns. Both films star Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne/ Batman and Jack Nicholson as the main villain, Jack Napier/ the Joker.

Both films were critically and commercially successful, especially the first Batman film, which earned $400 million at the box office against a production budget of around $14 million.

Tim Burton returned as a producer for the third film of the trilogy, Batman Forever (1995), which Joel Schumacher then directed.
