Lexus already has the 2024 model of the RX available in the market for buyers. While the 2023 model has become an older version, is there a major difference between these two model years or they are only made different by their year of manufacture?

Let’s dig in to find out what the differences and similarities between the 2023 and 2024 RX are.

Overview of the Lexus RX SUV

The Lexus RX series is presented to be one of the best-selling luxury SUVs in the global market. The ostentatious automobile could boast of a turbocharged engine and superior classy designs captivating buyers all over the world. It can be agreed that the automaker must create the entirely revamped 2023 Lexus RX correctly given its sales volume and reputation.

It has been postulated that the new RX series will probably be having its release later this year. We’ll have to wait and see if the new fifth-generation 2023 RX will win over Lexus aficionados and luxury midsize SUV novices alike. However, it appears that Lexus has made every effort to improve this overhaul.

Do the 2023 RX and 2024 RX Have the Same Trim?

The RX 350, RX 350h,  RX 350 Premium, RX350 Premium Plus, RX350 Luxury, RX350 F Sport, RX350h Sport, RX350 Luxury, and RX 500h F Sport Performance are all part of the 2023 Lexus RX model.  However, 2024. Lexus adds the RX450h+ Luxury that was first expected to arrive in the 2023 model.

However, both Lexus RX SUVs are five-seater, as the company has left behind the seven-seater feature it had created in the past. The exterior colour options, based on grade and criteria are available for both RX model years, inclusive of  Ultra White, Eminent White Pearl, Nebula Gray Pearl, Iridium, Caviar, Matador Red Mica, etc. Six interior colour choices and four ornamentation types, depending on grade, will be available for the 2023 RX. Macadamia, Black, Birch, Palomino, Peppercorn, and Rioja Red are the hues of the inside. Black Cascade, Ash Bamboo, Black Open Pore, and Dark Graphite Aluminum are some examples of ornamentation styles.

What are some new features readily available in the upcoming Lexus RX model years? Many buyers can look forward to the uniqueness and versatility of the new Lexus models, they were assessed to include midsize, two-row, luxury crossover SUVs with new designs, three of the four drivetrains of the four models are electrified, lighter, more compact, and larger within, advanced driving assistance features are included in the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 standard package and standard Lexus Interface Multimedia System with cutting-edge infotainment technologies.

Is the Interior And Exterior Styling/Design of the 2023 and 2024 RX The Same?

Yes, they are the same. The appearance of the new RX, according to Lexus is posited “to build on the foundation of the distinctive Lexus grille  design and evolves into a new, coherent spindle body design,” as a new fundamental  change by the company

With a design that builds on ideas established by the most recent Lexus IS sedan and NX compact SUV, we see a more cautious approach than Lexus adopted with the quirky fourth-generation RX. The new RX is almost the same size as the outgoing model, but it shares the NX’s stubby-butt look due to its larger wheelbase and shorter rear overhang. Plenty of visual mass remains over the front wheels in part because of the RX’s blunter nose, which contributes to the SUV’s appearance of visual imbalance. Available wheel sizes range from 19 inches to 22 inches, which in any case is highly beneficial to the buyer in variety.

The interior of both model years has been greatly enhanced. A cleaner and more serene environment is produced with fewer controls, a floating instrumentation panel, better displays, and ambient backlighting. The cabin is illuminated by a panoramic glass sunroof which is an option.

The doors are operated by touch thanks to new Digital Latch technology, which first appeared in the Lexus NX. It also features a Safe Exit System that can stop occupants from opening a door when it is risky. According to Lexus, the new RX has more baggage space and rear seat legroom than the outgoing model.

There are four different interior trims, six interior colours as previously mentioned, and F Sport trims, which stress performance above elegance.

Is the Performance Level, Engine Capacity, And Transmission of the 2023 and 2024 Lexus RX The Same?

For all models apart from the recently included Lexus RX450h+, yes. Their highlights include a lower centre of gravity, increased structural rigidity, and less weight, which together account for the new RX’s over 200-pound mass decrease. According to the automaker’s Lexus Driving Signature dynamic pleasure goals, these three platform characteristics are expected to enhance the RX’s ride and handling characteristics.

Trims of both model years of the Lexus RX  use a 2.4-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 275 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. It works with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission (AWD).  Also, both model years reach 60 mph in as little as 7.2 seconds and achieve 24 mpg in combined city and highway driving.

The Lexus RX 500h provides performance if that’s what you’re after. The RX 500h will only be available in F Sport Performance trim and will sport a new hybrid drivetrain based on the turbocharged 4-cylinder of the RX 350

The gas engine is coupled with the Lexus Direct4 AWD system, two electric motors, and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The RX 500h F Sport Performance produces 367 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, and it should achieve a combined fuel economy of 26 mpg. The RX 500h F Sport Performance is strengthened even further by the addition of an adaptive damping suspension and enhanced brakes with 6-piston front callipers from Lexus. All 2023 RX versions have the option of 21-inch wheels and tires.

The additional Lexus RX450h+ features a 2.5-litre four-cylinder, three electric motors, and standard all-wheel drive.

Is the Infotainment and Connectivity Features of the 2023 and 2024 Lexus RX The Same?

Yes, they are the same. They both have the new Lexus Interface Multimedia System, which has a touchscreen display with integrated climate controls that are standard on both 9.8 and 14 inches.

Also, standard wireless features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, radio, Voice Command, and Control, connected safety services such as  Wi-Fi, and remote access via smartphone to start the engine, activate the door locks, etc. are available in both vehicles.

They also have Drive Connect services with a cloud-based navigation system, Google point-of-interest database access, and Intelligent Assistant natural-voice recognition technology in addition to the larger 14-inch touchscreen display.

2023 Vs. 2024 Lexus RX: What’s the Major Difference?

They are the same. The only major difference is that Lexus added a new trim level Lexus RX450h+, a plug-in hybrid trim to the 2024 model. Every other thing in both vehicles is still the same.
