It’s unusual news to hear that a car produced by the Italian company noted for producing some of the best cars in the world could not sell at an auction

Automobil Lamborghini has been experiencing huge success with several of its cars. And, only recently, this Lamborghini Aventador Miura was not sold in an auction. What does that mean?

It’s possibly yet another sign the bubble may be bursting when it comes to the car collect market that has been booming for the past two years.

The Lamborghini Aventador Miura failed to sell at the Supercar Sunday auction despite attracting 93 bids. The auction saw 44 supercars around the world all open for bidding at the same time.

This Lamborghini Aventador Miura is one out of 50 ever made, and it just has 386km (240 miles) on the clock.

What this means is this car is an especially rare car, being on of the just three UK-delivered right-hand drive versions. Still, it failed to sell!

The car’s model was released in 2016 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Lamborghini’s first supercar, the Miura.

Each example of the Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage is painted one of the Miura’s 18 original colors.

Matte silver or gold accents are also applied to help it resemble the Miura that little bit more.

This particular one comes finished in Verde Scandal with silver accents, along with a Nera Ade leather interior.

One of the rarer color combos, it only makes this car even more unique.

Each car comes with the Aventador’s standard 690hp V12 engine driving all four wheels.

However, this example is one of just two that has its engine cover signed by former Lamborghini president and now Formula One Group CEO Stefano Domenicali.

Well, this is not only the case of cars failing to sell in the past couple of months.

Another car that failed to sell during the auction was the Liger JS P4. And, only last month, a Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport failed to sell on Bring a Trailer despite the top bid being $4.4 million.

What does this mean for the collector’s car market? Does it mean that the bubble of collecting cars is gradually bursting? The next few months will tell.
