The Audi S3 lineup has received a facelift with more than just visual changes. The exterior features a refreshed front and rear facia with new Matrix LED lights, a new grille design, and a new bumper design. Additionally, there is a new Dynamic Plus driving mode that works with the new torque-splitting differential derived from the RS3.
The Audi Drive Select offers six different modes, catering to a wide range of driving preferences from comfort-oriented to extremely dynamic. The S3 model enhancement introduces the new dynamic plus mode, which provides particularly high driving dynamics. The torque splitter directs as much drive torque as possible to the rear axle and to the outer rear wheel, resulting in a tendency for oversteering.
The electronic stabilization control (ESC) is automatically activated in sport mode. Modulated interventions by the ESC control provide increased emotional driving pleasure on different friction values. The engine and transmission are also specifically tuned for the dynamic plus mode. The idle speed of the 2.0 TFSI has been increased by 200 revolutions to 1,300 revolutions per minute compared to the dynamic driving profile. This serves to improve starting performance, and the throttle response is even more direct. The transmission also contributes to the increase in dynamics with shorter shifting times, later upshifts, and earlier downshifts.

The updated 2025 Audi S3 features a wild new differential. Audi has taken the torque-splitting rear axle from the RS3 and fitted it to the S3. It uses a multiple clutch setup on each rear axle shaft to send power left to right aiming to reduce the famous Audi understeer. The S3 also features stiffer suspension components, a lowered ride height, and torque control.
The S3 is powered by a 2.0L Turbo 4 that generates 328HP and 310 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels. It can hit 0-60 MPH in under 4.7 seconds with a 155MPH limited top speed. This is paired with a 7-speed S tonic gearbox.
