The Pininfarina Battista goes from 0-60mph in exactly just 1.79 seconds, making it the world’s fastest-accelerating street-legal car.

The performance of the Battista was due to its highly sophisticated launch control system, it made it possible for the Pininfarina Battista to beat the previous record by nearly a tenth of a second.

The previous record of the world’s fastest accelerating car was held by the Rimac Nevera, the EV car which uses the same powertrain and battery pack as the Battista.

This is because Rimac makes electric powertrains for many car companies, including Pininfarina. In other words, Rimac made the electric powertrains of the Pininfarina Battista, and it was beaten to the record by its client.

This new world record, the Battista got, was set at the Dubai Autodrome using Pininfarina’s highly sophisticated launch control system.

On the face, both the Pininfarina Battista and the Rimac Nevera look very similar. Both use a Rimac 1200 kWh battery pack, and they’re powered by four synchronous electric units with one at each wheel.

Both cars have roughly the same power output, delivering over 1,900 horsepower. However, besides having a better launch control system, the Battista is lighter by about 80kg. This is a lot for a performance car.

Although the company that makes the Pininfarina Battista is German, the Battista is actually designed and assembled in Italy.

It is heavily based on the Rimac from a technical standpoint, but anyone could call this car “an Italian hypercar.”

To own one, you have to have money seriously. Only 150 units of this car were planned, and the starting price of the car is $2.25 million. Also, deliveries of the car have started.
