Kano Notorious Car Snatcher Arrested while cruising in Toyota Hilux

Recently, the Nigerian police in Kano arrested a notorious car thief, Ibrahim Usman, 34 years old from Zaria LGA, Kaduna State. He was arrested by the police along with Bayero University Road in Kano. 

The police reported that when he was arrested, Ibrahim Usman was in possession of a white Toyota Hilux vehicle. 

This was confirmed on the 6th of June, by the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Haruna Kiyawa, to the pressmen in Kano. 

He stated that the suspect on preliminary investigation confessed to the stealing of a vehicle at Madobi Road, Kumbotso LGA, Kano State. It was also disclosed that he belongs to a syndicate that specializes in car theft through various methods. 

The PPRO also disclosed that further investigation on the matter has led them to arrest another suspect, Hamisu Ibrahim, 55 years of Sharada Quarters, Kano. 

The speciality of the second suspect is manufacturing and selling vehicles and tricycle master keys to criminals. All together, twenty-nine keys were found in his possession. 

Following the second arrest, another arrest has happened of a third suspect. 

The police also found that nine pairs of car plate numbers from different stolen vehicles from various locations were collected from the suspects. 

The plate numbers are; Plateau, BSA 272 AA, Plateau, JJN 782 PQ, Plateau, BUU 964 AA, Kano AE 560 BNK, Kano AEA 955 BNK, Kano AE 485 KKU, Katsina AE 871 DRA, Lagos DC 360 FST, Lagos AAA 328 DW.

The commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, has also ordered a thorough yet discreet investigation after which the suspects will be arraigned in court.
