A recent online video shows how a group of Nigerian policemen at the checkpoint narrowly escaped getting hit by a driver who was driving at high speed.

In the video, the driver overtakes other vehicles packed at the checkpoint and heads toward the police officers. Once the driver reached the checkpoint, the passenger sitting next to the driver came down to remove the barricade while they entered and took off.

The police immediately left the road when they saw the driver speeding. Many social media users have reacted to the reckless driving and how the passenger could have put his life in danger for coming down to remove the barricade.
