After years of not participating in the EV car market, the Japanese car company, Toyota seem to be heading into the future with plans of releasing some of the most jaw-dropping EV versions of the brand’s most popular and highly-coveted models. The Land Cruiser is one of them.

Toyota recently gave a glimpse of the potential look of the EV Land Cruiser, as the brand gets set to show it off at this year’s Japan Mobility Show.

However, there’s no saying that this is what the final look of the EV Land Cruiser will look like as the brand hasn’t yet spoken about production. But, it certainly suggests that the brand will be embracing more EVs in the future.

The most interesting thing about the EV Land Cruiser is how different it looks from the gas-powered versions. It has plenty of sharp edges and sculpted side panels.

The electric concept Land Cruiser is 202.8 inches long and has a wheelbase of 120.1 inches. The large size of the vehicle means that the Land Cruiser can seat up to eight passengers.

While Toyota is yet to release pictures of the interior, the automaker noted that the space will be both comfortable and quiet. There’s also no new information concerning its powertrain other than the brand noting that it delivers “high-torque driving performance.”

It’s still unclear if Toyota plans to build the EV Land Cruiser or whether it’ll just exist as a concept. For now, the company designed and developed the concept car strictly for the Japanese Auto Show held this year. However, the automaker has announced its plans to launch 10 EVs between now and 2026.
