This trim adds to the cosmetic exterior appearance upgrades of the F Sport Design trim, which includes a black mesh-style grille, a more aggressive-looking front fascia, black-finished 19-inch alloy wheels, and a deck spoiler. Additionally, the F Sport Handling trim also includes features and hardware that were previously optional with the Dynamic Handling package. The following are the standard features:
- Added Sport+ and Custom drive modes
- Dash gauges that have an LFA-style movable centre ring and a selectable g-force meter
- F Sport heated and ventilated front seats with added lateral bolstering
- F Sport heated, leather-trimmed steering wheel
- F Sport Hadori aluminium trim and black headliner
- F Sport aluminium pedals
- Leather-trimmed F Sport steering wheel
- Leather-trimmed shift lever
- Active noise cancellation
- Performance dampers
- F Sport-tuned active variable suspension
With the F Sport Handling trim, the standard adaptive dampers of the variable suspension serve a dual purpose. They improve ride quality over rough roads and decrease unwanted body roll during cornering and fore/aft pitching under hard acceleration or braking. Various sensors measure variables such as g-loads, vehicle speed, steering angle, brake pressure, and more. This information is then used to adjust the damping of each shock absorber independently to any of its 650 settings. The result is a suspension system that can alleviate the impact of broken pavement, potholes, ruts, and speed bumps in real time while maintaining overall control and stability that are suitable for a luxury sedan.
