6 Modern Car Features That Don’t Make Sense YET Will Frustrate You

A car buyer’s criteria include creature comfort, performance, economy, and aesthetics. However, in our market, the majority of people value features and personal comforts. These gadgets and gizmos, on the other hand, add to the ownership experience. Although not always useful, these features can be aggravating at times. If you are not prone to being innovative, you might not even know how to use these features without liking them, but those tech-savvy gurus are highly appreciative of the good tech in their cars.

But one thing that these two classes of people can agree on is that they can be frustrating and give the user a headache.

As a result, let us discuss the top elements that we believe are frustrating in current automobiles.

Low Camera Resolution

Almost all low-cost vehicles include at least one reverse camera. However, sometimes installing a camera is the only thing an automaker does, and they forget to check the clarity. For example, the reverse camera in low-cost vehicles is typical of low resolution, and the area in view is either fuzzy or pixelated. This makes the camera’s feet less useful, particularly at night. Furthermore, certain car makers occasionally install more than one camera. And these extra cameras are usually of low resolution. For example, consider the blind-sport camera in Honda cars.

Oversized keyfobs

Nowadays, most cars costing N12,000,000 or more include keyless entry and go capability. To operate this heavy gear, a keyfob is required. The issue is not always this feature, but rather the huge key fobs that carmakers give. It’s difficult to keep a large fob in your pocket.

For one thing, it appears unsightly protruding from the pocket; for another, it is uncomfortable and hurts. Mercedes-Benz is one of the automakers that do this. These key fobs are massive. Nissan, on the other hand, provides a card that is both convenient and attractive.

Controls that are essential in the infotainment system

Given the hot weather in Nigeria, an air conditioner is an amenity that no one can live without. The AC controls on many newer cars have been upgraded. That is, many automobiles now have touch controls for the infotainment system. Even the touch controls are divided into two categories. One, the car has dedicated touch controls, similar to the 4th generation Hondas.

Next, when the controls are displayed on the screen, it takes far more than a single button click to modify the temperature. These controls may be found easily or very difficult while driving. Touch controls, in general, sound cool, but in practice, they are very unpleasant.

A spare wheel that saves space

The most obvious cost-cutting strategy taken by automotive manufacturers is the elimination of less-used components. And what’s better than the spare tire that comes with the car? Also, keep in mind that the component should not impair the vehicle’s reliability or performance.

As a result, the organisation saves money and gains a lot by using a space-saving tire. A space-saver, for example, saves space and allows for additional space. Furthermore, eliminating the wheel saves both weight and money. Instead, firms such as Subaru have begun to include puncture repair kits with their vehicles. which is indeed less expensive than a whole wheel. But, whatever the reason, it is inconvenient.

There is no Dead Pedal

The next one is something that is always present in a car with an automatic transmission but is not as prevalent in a car with a manual transmission. A brake pedal has become an absolute necessity in every vehicle. Drivers using manual transmissions tend to lay their left foot on the clutch. And doing so is a terrible habit because it wears the clutch out faster. As a result, having a dead petal is more important.

Limited seat and steering adjustment

The majority of manufacturers just offer the tilt feature, and it is frustrating to note that they do not also offer telescopic on all types. It is unquestionably a simple process, and if it is provided, the car becomes much nicer and more comfortable. Additionally, a car manufacturer may choose not to include the driver seat’s height adjustment in lower-end models of a vehicle. Since no two people are the same height and hence won’t have the same reachability, having this function is more beneficial. The manufacturer likewise reaps rewards if the car sells well for the same reason.

Conclusion

Some features are put in cars to make them seem new and improved and to advance technologically. But these features are not always as great as these automakers make people believe; they come with their own complications, which in this case make the users frustrated, making them regret buying the car in the first place.
