2022 GMC Terrain Price, Review, Trims, And Release date

With a lineup featuring the First Ever Terrain AT4, the New Terrain combines turbocharged capability with intuitive technology, a suite of standard and available active safety and driver-assistance features, and striking design. Fulfilling GMC’s promise of expanding the AT4 badge across its lineup, the Terrain AT4 has the rugged looks that the rest of the variants lack. But that’s about it, as the only hardware it adds is a front steel skid plate. From our preview last year, we also noted knobbier tires, which make sense for an SUV like this. We like the blacked-out details like the wheels and mirror caps, but we’d like to see more off-road components to match the looks.

The 2022 GMC Terrain receives a styling refresh for 2022 that includes a revised grille and front bumper, new LED headlamps and taillamps, fresh 18- and 19-inch wheel designs, updated upholstery, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality. A more rugged-looking AT4 model joins the lineup while the base SL trim falls off.

Adventure-ready and confidently capable, the First Ever Terrain AT4 lets you go where the action is in style and comfort. The Terrain’s ergonomically challenged push-button shifter sprinkles salt in the compact crossover’s interior wounds. It consists of several switches that look like power window controls, located low on the center console and less than intuitive to use.

New to the Terrain for 2022 is the AT4 trim, which rounds out GMC’s plan to offer the trim on every model. AT4 trims bring with it unique wheels, as well as a bevy of blacked-out accessories. Since the AT4 trim is geared toward the off-road crowd, it also features a steel skid plate with a starting price of below table

2022 GMC Terrain Release date

GMC has teased the vehicle a few times, even showing it off in both AT4 and Denali trims, but now the vehicle has been officially unveiled. GMC had originally planned to release the vehicle in 2020, but that was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, along with a few other models. So we believe this 2022 GMC Terrain will be available for purchase in summer 2021
