Toyota has launched ANOTHER “SUV” called the Corolla across, It sort of is a blurry line between crossover and hatchback and it rides on the TNGA-C architecture and currently was only unveiled in Thailand but should be coming to the US too. It sits just above the CH-R but below the RAV4 in Toyota’s lineup as a sort of an oddball especially if it doesn’t have AWD.
Although it wears the familiar Corolla name, the Cross is definitely not a variation of the current-production Corolla sedan or hatchback; it will be an all-new model for the Toyota brand when it arrives in American showrooms. It’s unlikely that the new SUV will appear before the 2022 model year but could make its debut in late 2021.

As of right now, it has a 1.8L has powertrain making 140HP and 129 lb-ft of torque going to the front wheels via a CVT. The hybrid model makes 170HP. At least visually it looks a bit rugged as underneath… it is not that type of vehicle.
Lots of design has been inspired but the bigger RAV4 with somebody shapes and lines. Though the Corolla Cross has unique LED lights, a unique grille, wheels, and more. The interior is nearly identical to the Corolla hatchback too.
