On Monday, March 20, 2023, officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) helped a woman fix her flat tire at Adeniji Adele junction by the 3rd Mainland bridge inward to Lagos Island.
The Lagos State-owned agency, which is part of the Ministry of Transportation, was set up on July 15, 2000. Its goal is to change the state’s transportation system so that traffic flows smoothly and there are fewer accidents on the roads.
“LASTMA not only controls traffic but also renders assistance to motorists who have minor problems with their vehicles on the road to ensure a smooth ride for other road users.”
LASTMA posted pictures from the scene on its social media pages and said that its job isn’t just to control traffic, but also to help drivers who are stuck to make sure that other drivers have a smooth ride.
