A recent video that surfaced online shows the moment a young Nigerian man escapes the hold of Nigerian police officers who stopped him at a checkpoint in Lagos.
In the video that was posted online by @CarContinent, the police officers stopped the driver who made several attempts to park his car well before answering them.
Unknown to the police officers, he was patiently negotiating his escape and waiting for the road to free up. The moment the coast was cleared, the driver who was driving a Toyota Venza SUV quickly escaped the chase of the Nigerian police.
The video was posted online with a caption saying:
“Dear Road users, if you can afford a car of 5m look at this list:
Driver license: 25K
Registration: 60K
Renewal of Registration: 25k
These are the only reasons police will stop you inside town and not let you go. Why not get these things sorted and avoid trigger-happy police men? In some cases they will try to delay you but trust me they will let you go if you’re bold enough to ask to go to the station.”
