The reaction of many Nigerians who have been following the thread of stories on DJ Cuppy, Femi Otedola’s daughter’s stories on Instagram has been one anyone who knows her will have.
While the concern was supposed to be targeted towards the new car she never showed off on social media, instead, the attention had been diverted.
To many Nigerians, the question is, “why is it not pink?” Indeed, DJ Cuppy has identified with the colour pink for many years that it’s become her signature colour.

For many, she brings to mind 2010’s Cynthia Morgan whose signature colour was red. It was almost impossible to see Cynthia on any other thing that was not red. That’s how it’s been for DJ Cuppy.
Her signature pink colour goes from her hair down to her outfits, room, car decor and even many of her accessories.
So, it’s no surprise that when she shared a series of pictures of a matte black Mercedes-Benz AMG with the special plate number registration “CH9 PPY,” many people reacted in shock that she’d ever think of getting something that’s not pink.
Of course, this assumption is based on the fact that the Ferrari Otedola bought for her daughters in 2020, Cuppy’s own, came with the signature pink.
Many Nigerians have been wondering what’s wrong. And, the question has been, does deviating from the pink colour mean she’s gradually getting tired of it or she just want something different?
