Odion Jude Ighalo professionally known as Odion Ighalo is a professional Nigerian footballer born on the 16th of June 1989 in Lagos, Nigeria. He currently plays as a Striker for the internationally known English club, Manchester United, though he is on a loan from the Shanghai Greenland Shenhua of the Chinese Superleague.

He started his football career playing at some Nigerian football clubs Prime and Julius Berger respectively in 2005 and 2006. Odion Ighalo 2018 represented Nigeria at the 2018 World cup, and he was the footballer with the highest goals in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations campaign, where he led Nigeria to the 3rd place position.
