The only housemate to get disqualified from this year’s edition was Erica Nlewedim. Erica was born Ngozi Erica Nlewedim on the 13th of March 1994 in Abia State, Nigeria to Eric Nlewedim and Oby Nwokolo. She is also a native of Abia State and was raised by her mom, as a single parent. She attended Victory Grammar School, Lagos for her Secondary school education before proceeding to Command Secondary school to complete her secondary school education. She furthered her education by going to Covenant University to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and graduated in 2013.
She moved to the United Kingdom to pursue a degree in Acting from the Met Film School in London. In 2013, she became the brand ambassador for Natures Gentle touch, a natural hair care company. After 2013, she also worked for Nigerian brands like Glo, and Jumia, and became the face brand for Access Bank, Maltina, and Zaron Cosmetics, from 2015 to 2017. In 2014, she participated in the MBGN pageant and won the Miss Photogenic award from the pageant.

She started her acting career in 2015 when she clinched a lead role in Secrets and Scandals. She has also acted in Royal Castle, Poka Messiah, Hire a woman, Once Upon a Night, and other Nollywood movies.
In 2018, she founded Erica Nlewedim Foundation, an NGO that caters to underprivileged children. In December 2019, her foundation launched its Hunger Heroes Campaign which fed 1,000 children on the streets of Lagos, Nigeria. She is also the CEO of Beluxia Hair.
