The Tesla’s self-driving mode is fast becoming a thing many owners of the Tesla are now trying out. A recent viral video showed when an older woman was caught in deep sleep while her Tesla was driving on the highway using AutoPilot mode.
The Auto-pilot mode is a hands-on driver assistance system intended to be used only with a fully attentive driver. It does not turn the Tesla into a self-driving car, nor does it mean the Tesla is an autonomous car.
But, this video shows that the woman driving considers the Tesla a self-driving car as she comfortably sleeps without any care while the car is speeding and negotiating the road on the highway.
Many have reacted to the video of the woman who was sound asleep while her Tesla drove, saying:
“Even though it’s a Tesla, I think you still are supposed to stay awake and be aware.”
“The amount of people think that they can sleep on a self-driving Tesla is too damn high.”
“Isn’t that why you get a Tesla?”
“I had a friend who told me they went out drinking and I asked who drove home. She said the Tesla. yikes.”
