Short Toyota HiAce Review
The first-ever model of Toyota Hiace to be produced was produced in 1967. Since then, the light commercial van has gone through 6 generations until this stage.
The first generation, from 1967 to 1977, could comfortably carry no more than 8 people. You most likely wouldn’t find any model from this generation anymore. The second generation, 1977 to 1982 had two variants that were either petrol-fueled or diesel-fueled. Models from this generation got more sales and were even produced after the third generation started in 1982.
The third generation, from 1982 to 1989, hit the market too and was widely received in Europe, Australia, and Africa. It features a 4-speed automatic transmission with both 4 and 5-speed manual transmissions. The engines varied from 1.8L to 4.0L petrol engines. The variants with diesel engines varied from 2.2L to 2.8L. These variants include minibus, ambulance/commuter, wagon and truck categories.
We are currently in the 6th generation of production, and a lot of things are now better. There is more comfort, better performance and more safety features.
