When you now see them, they come at high prices that are almost unbelievable. Now, why would anyone pay that amount just to drive the LFA? Here’s a rundown of some of the luxury features of the vehicle that makes it appealing to many of its clientele.
The Design Of The Lexus LFA
The LFA boasts a lengthy spec sheet, including red leather heated eight-way adjustable seats, black Alcantara headlining, and a carbon fibre steering wheel.
It’s also got a seven-inch HD screen with Bluetooth audio and dual-zone climate control. The 2012 model of this vehicle is finished in white, sitting on 20-inch forged dark premium metallic wheels.
Behind the vehicle’s rims, you’ll find ceramic composite brakes with red callipers.
Power & Performance In The Lexus LFA
The Lexus LFA has a 4.8-litre V10 engine that produces 552 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque, capable of 0-60 in 3.7 seconds.

It’s mated to a six-speed automated manual transmission, which sends power to the rear wheels. The LFA’s engine is capable of revving up to an ear-piercing 9,000 rpm.
During the car’s development process, it was found that the LFA could blip to the 9,000 rpm red line in 0.6 seconds. So, an analogue counter needle wasn’t fast enough, it had to have a digital one.
But that’s not the only cool thing about the Lexus LFA. During production, it was also realized that carbon fibre monocoque and body panels would be lighter and stiffer than the planned aluminium.
So, Lexus had to create its own proprietary carbon fibre production techniques solely for the LFA.
The Unicorn Supercar & The Price Tag
Only 500 units of this vehicle were produced, each hand-built by a single engineer; the Lexus LFA has become like a collector’s item. Currently, the reselling price of this vehicle is £1,020,000, which is over ₦1 billion.
