Many countries in the world have rules and regulations that abhor their citizens from texting while driving because the government understands the danger involved in it. In different countries, there are several punishments instituted for persons who text while driving and are caught.

Endangering the lives of innocent pedestrians: Persons who text and drive expose not only themselves to accidents but also endanger the lives of innocent bystanders or pedestrians who use the road on a daily basis. A pedestrian can be standing on his or her own and a distracted driver can hit the person.

Exposing yourself to the statistics of persons who contribute to traffic accidents: Most road accidents are caused by road users who drive and text. In the case of driving and texting, there is a very high possibility that the person may be involved in a car accident. There are already millions of persons, who die every day from road accidents, why contribute to the number when you can be careful?

Damaging your car: If involved in a car accident, you have to incur all the expenses involved in getting the car fixed. These road accidents mostly can be avoided if people learn that there are dangers involved in texting while driving. And apart from incurring the costs, your insurance keeps doubling in amount and premium.
