Joseph Van Vicker was born on the 1st of August, 1977 in Accra, Ghana to a Ghanaian-Liberian mother and Dutch father. He has a sister whose name is Phylicia Anderson and a stepbrother whose name is unknown. His father died when he was six years old, and he was raised mainly by his mother.
