Channels Television reported this, quoting Bolanle Ogunlola, the current deputy director of public affairs at the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation, in a statement on Friday. The Removal of Abandoned Vehicles Committee’s main duty, according to Special Advisor to the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Transportation Sola Giwa, is to remove any abandoned and disused vehicles that are impeding traffic and endangering public safety from the city as soon as possible.
Giwa claims that among other things, the committee’s duties include keeping parks orderly, prohibiting the use and sale of alcohol and other associated substances there, and cracking down on unlawful parks and commuter operations.
