As we all know, nothing lasts forever and that goes for car brands too.

Below are 15 car models that would no more be produced as their time in the auto market is up.

LAMBORGHINI AVENTADOR

The Aventador has been with us since 2011, with no remarkable changes made throughout the years excluding special-edition high-performance models of course like the SVJ 63, but what makes the Aventador such a unique entry is that it should have been discontinued already.

See, earlier in 2022, a ship called the Felicity Ace sank about 250 miles off the coast of Portugal’s Azores Islands after erupting into a fire. This ship harbored countless Porsches, Audis, and of course, Lamborghinis – some being the last few Ultimae Aventadors ever created. So, as you can think, customers were unhappy and paid for a car that hasn’t yet arrived at their doorstep, so Lamborghini was forced to restart production for the Aventador, but once those last few models are built, the naturally-aspirated V12-powered Lamborghini will be gone for good.

ACURA ILX

For the past 10 years, the ILX has served as the entry-level model for the Acura brand. It is also the least expensive premium vehicle, priced from $27,300. That is thousands of dollars below the typical $35,000 pricing threshold for entry-level luxury models. The ILX, though, is woefully outdated and in need of replacement or cancellation. By 2023, the ILX gives way to the Integra, which promises to be a much more competitive model when it arrives this summer.

The BMW 2 Series is a stylish and sporty alternative to the likes of the Audi A3 saloon and the Mercedes A-Class hatchback. It’s good fun to drive, comes with a range of engines to suit most budgets and gets a relatively practical, well-built interior.

This car has been discontinued and we anticipate a price spike with the leftover units.

FORD ECOSPORT

The Ford Ecosport has spent five years on the road since it was introduced in 2018. So far, it has done well in the markets and this miniSUV is loved by many but unfortunately, Ford has announced that they wouldn’t continue this SUV.

The Porsche Macan Turbo wouldn’t be completely erased but the company has decided to change the name of this car from Porsche Macan Turbo to Porsche GTS. They will also be adding some modifications which we do not have information about.

CHEVROLET SPARK

The Chevrolet Spark won’t see the 2023 model year. The bow-tie brand continues to pare its car fleet, with the minicar Spark joining the subcompact Sonic, compact Cruze, and full-size Impala as it exits the U.S. market. We expect the midsize Malibu will follow. Then there is the question of whether we will see a Camaro after 2024, leaving just the Corvette behind. Losing the Spark means Chevrolet shoppers will turn to the Trax for value, and that model itself may disappear as soon as a year later.

Just as we’ve mentioned with the C63, building cars with monstrous V8 engines is becoming a task impossible for even the most ambitious of carmakers, so Dodge is forced to stop placing oversized HEMI V8 engines into everything they make, the most important models being the Charger and Challenger.

Well, Dodge confirmed they’ll introduce something called the eMuscle to replace this.

TOYOTA AVALON

Introduced in the 1990s to compete against large Buick sedans, the Toyota Avalon has served as the flagship sedan in this manufacturer’s fleet. Essentially a stretched-wheelbase Toyota Camry, the Avalon has in recent years found its own identity with an upscale look, hybrid option, and available all-wheel drive. While Toyota will most certainly keep the Camry, the Avalon goes away as more crossovers join the product line.

MERCEDES AMG CLS 63

Mercedes-Benz still manufactures the C-Class, the new model arrived earlier this year actually, and they will produce a new C63 AMG variant too, but something is missing – a rumbling V8 of course. For what feels like an eternity, the C63 has either come with a naturally-aspirated or turbocharged V8 engine, but because of stricter emission laws, AMG was forced to abandon the development of their legendary V8 engine, and that means that no new models will be equipped with them, only a few select models like the G-Class and S-Class will have the privilege.

ROLLS ROYCE DAWN AND WRAITH

Rolls Royce will stop the production of the Dawn and Wraith in the United States of America. This is due to the fact that the new car regulations in the US are not just fit for Rolls Royce as they already have a standard and they cannot help it. This is saddening as we do not know what those American celebrities who love the RR will do now.
