Tony Ifeanyichukwu Ezenna was born on 21 April 1957 in Port Harcourt, River State, where he grew up before moving to Onitsha. He attended St. David primary school in Owerre Akokwa, followed by Christ the King College, Onitsha for his high school education. He later paused his education due to financial hardship and joined his father’s business.

Building his company
After 13 years of working for the family-owned chemist shop; Eastern Industrial Chemist, Sir Tony Ezenna set out on his entrepreneurial journey to build Orange Drugs Limited. The Company Orange Drugs Limited was first registered on July 20, 1988, with RC No 115913, and with its first office located in Ikenegbu, Owerri Imo State in the eastern part of Nigeria, A company that specializes in the distribution of pharmaceutical and beauty products from Indonesia, Germany, Italy, and the United States to Nigeria.
As the company grew and expanded, it moved its headquarters to the commercial city of Lagos, in order to best serve the needs of Nigerians and also make an impact on the world market. The first corporate office was at 4B Okupe Estate, Mende, Maryland, Lagos State, before the company expanded into its present Head Office at 66/68, Town Planning Way, Ilupeju, and Lagos State in 2001.
In 1994 Orange Drugs Limited diversified into the Personal Care Market with the launch of Delta medicated and antiseptic soap.

Orange West Africa Limited (OWAL) —In 2006, entered the lighting business through a distribution agreement with Osram GmbH, Germany for sole distribution rights of their energy-saving bulbs in Nigeria and Ghana.
