The Nissan Pathfinder Is The Best Compared To The Toyota 4Runner

Toyota makes one of the best cars in the world, which is the Toyota 4Runner, and everyone knows this car is for traversing through the rough and unpaved roads of Nigeria. But did you know that the Nissan Pathfinder can be a better alternative to this car? Here is why:

Most people always think Nissan‘s cars can’t match up in anything, but we have to say that this is absolutely false. Although most Nigerians think that Nissan cars aren’t as durable as they used to be, that is why you rarely see them on Nigerian roads. But do you know that the Pathfinder at one time was arguably the most popular car almost a decade ago, but now we cannot say the same, because of a number of issues that resulted from its production, mostly the typical Nigerian way to stick with With Toyota or Honda, which are much more expensive than the Nissan was one of the issues the car keeps on failing here.

Placing the 4Runner side by side with the Pathfinder would indeed tell you that they are evenly matched. You might be in doubt, so here is why you should forgo the Toyota 4Runner for the Nissan Pathfinder.

Why is the Nissan Pathfinder better?

The Toyota 4Runner has been known as being the best car along the Highlander to combat any pothole-infested road you can find in Nigeria. This car has been used by government officials in the country as their convoy after it has been armoured because it is rumoured to be the best and give the best protection, but the Pathfinder does the same thing.

The difference between the two is that it isn’t given the same recognition. We believe that the Pathfinder would probably perform so much better not only in the Nigerian automotive market but also globally if it came under the name “Toyota”. But instead of dwelling on the negatives, we are going to give you even more reasons why the Nissan Pathfinder is much better than the Toyota 4Runner and why you should add it to your car collection.

The Nissan Pathfinder Engine Will Leave The 4Runner In Its Dust

One thing people need to realize is that Toyota rarely changes the specs or designs of their cars; it would seem like they forever remain the same, and a look at the 4Runner Engine will tell you what we mean. The same 4.0-litre V6 engine has been with the car for over four years now, and not only that, apart from being durable, which most Toyota aficionados try to argue from, the car can be quite sluggish and has very bad fuel economy, which when looking at this rugged SUV doesn’t make an iota of sense because much better is expected.

But with the Nissan Pathfinder, the difference between the cars is absolutely clear. With a 284-horsepower engine, you would think you are in a sports car rather than a boxy SUV, but in actuality, you would probably cause tension on the road because most people won’t expect such power from an SUV, which is mostly known for space and driving through rough roads. The engine power of the Nissan Pathfinder does not even come close to matching its fuel efficiency, which forces you to maximize your fuel consumption.

The Pathfinder’s Ride Is Much Better

Most people would shout that the Toyota 4Runner is the best for Nigeria’s rough roads, but they couldn’t be more wrong. The design and construction, as we said before, of most Toyota cars refuse to change, making them archaic. The 4Runner’s construction is similar to that of a truck, which can make the unsteady road you are driving on more unstable.

The unibody construction of the Pathfinder would give you not only a much more agile ride and handling but all-around comfort and would probably be the best for long interstate travels.

While most won’t believe this, the Pathfinder is probably a better alternative to the 4Runner when travelling long distances. Apart from looking rugged, when it comes down to the real work of things, the 4Runner is only good for driving on rough terrain and can’t really give the comfort that the Pathfinder would.

The Toyota 4Runner Interior is Subpar

The interior of the Toyota 4Runner looks as bad as the visuals in an early 2000s Nollywood movie; it has aged and has been overflowing with us. Toyota really needs to up the ante on this car’s interior because soon it won’t have anything going for it. Unlike the Pathfinder, which keeps bringing out the best interior and cabin design as the generations pass, the Pathfinder’s technology continues to improve with the car.

Apart from being boring, the Toyota 4Runner is in need of a change, and the Nissan Pathfinder is the best thing to buy if you are tired of the car’s boring design and lack of improvement.
