Well today is endless with new products and now the new AMG GT Black Series has leaked and like the renders and extensive spy shots, it looks like a road-legal version of the AMG GT GT3 race car.
Under the hood is expected to be an upgraded version of the 4.0L TT V8 packing a possible flat-plane crank and tuned to make an insane near 720 and 627 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels which is a far cry higher than the 577HP in the AMG GTR and GTR Pro currently available. This unique version of the engine will feature higher revs and unique engine note. Expect the 7-speed DCT gearbox to remain along with 0-60 times under 3 sec and a top speed over 200MPH. Rumors say it can do the Nurburgring around 6min 58sec!
The Black Series isn’t stopping just with power upgrades though. It is getting aero and technology directly from AMG’s GT3 racing program starting up front with a totally unique Panamericana grille, splitter, wider body, aero canards, vented hood, and fenders though the LED headlights remain the same. Moving to the side you can see the massive side fender aero vent and at the rear the huge rear wing with a monkey seat dual-wing design. Below is an aggressive multi-layered diffuser, huge quad tipped exhaust ports, and side vents accentuating the wider body.
