2025 Ford Explorer

The 2025 Ford Explorer is a three-row midsize SUV that is available in four trim levels: Active, ST-Line, ST and Platinum. The standard engine is a turbocharged 2.3-litre four-cylinder that makes 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. A turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 is optional on the Platinum and standard on the ST. It generates 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft. A 10-speed automatic is the only transmission available, and every trim level comes standard with rear-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is optional on them all.

Focusing on functionality and appearance. In addition to a newly standard 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, the Explorer receives a new 13.2-inch touchscreen that debuts the Ford Digital Experience infotainment system. The Android-based system (wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is standard) uses Google Maps and includes Google Assistant for voice commands. Ford’s hands-free BlueCruise highway driving feature is now available on the Explorer as well. On the appearance front, Ford is introducing new standard interior colour schemes to differentiate the different trim levels.

 2025 Honda Pilot

The 2025 Honda Pilot is a three-row SUV that seats up to eight passengers. It’s available in six trim levels: Sport, EX-L, Touring, TrailSport, Elite and Black Edition. All are powered by a 3.5-litre V6 engine (285 horsepower, 262 lb-ft) mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Sitting atop the lineup for 2025, the new Black Edition trim suits up with gloss black 20-inch wheels, Black Edition badges, and other blacked-out exterior trim elements. The cabin gets a tuxedoed look as well, including embossed leather front seats and door mats featuring the Black Edition logo. Honda sprinkled red accents throughout the interior, including crimson stitching on the steering wheel, seats, and door panels. This trim comes standard with all-wheel drive. The base LX trim has been discontinued, making the Sport model the new entry-level Pilot. The 2025 Honda Pilot is stocked with modern technology like available wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, configurable displays, and peace-of-mind features that make life on the road more comfortable, connected, and all-around enjoyable.

2025 Honda CR-V

The 2025 Honda CR-V is available in six trim levels: LX, EX, Sport, EX-L, Sport-L and Sport Touring. The LX, EX and EX-L trims come with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, while the Sport, Sport-L and Sport Touring use a hybrid powertrain for improved fuel economy. Most CR-V trims have standard front-wheel drive and offer all-wheel drive as an option. The exception is the Sport Touring which comes with standard AWD.

The CR-V’s powertrain provides competitive fuel economy. The front-wheel-drive CR-V with the turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder gets EPA estimates of 28 mpg city and 34 mpg highway, and opting for all-wheel drive drops those numbers a bit

2025 BMW X6

The 2025 BMW X6 M Competition is a five-passenger, four-door SUV that is available in a single trim level. It’s powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 with 48-volt hybrid assistance that generates 617 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive are standard.

Significantly refreshed for 2024, the 2025 X6 gets some minor tech-based updates. BMW’s Highway Assistant hands-free driving assistant is now available on the 2025 X6 as part of the Driving Assistance Professional Package. The system will include Active Lane Change with eye activation that initiates the lane change by looking at the corresponding rear-view mirror. BMW’s Comfort Access with the BMW Digital Key Plus, which unlocks the doors as you approach and adjusts seating and steering wheel positions for the driver preferences, will be integrated into the My BMW App for keyless functionality. BMW Maps navigation and the My BMW App system also feature several updates, including updated map view and routing. To increase interest and awareness in its EV models among current owners of gas-powered BMWs, the app now also includes an E-mobility Analysis function that scrutinizes the driver’s behaviour and then proposes the BMW EV model most suited to them should they be ready to trade in for a new EV.

2025 Lexus NX 250

The 2025 Lexus NX is a compact luxury SUV that is offered in four main versions: NX 250, NX 350, NX 350h and NX 450h+. This lineup can seem a little confusing at first, but in most cases, the only difference is the engine. The NX 250 is powered by a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter inline-four making 203 horsepower. It is the only NX available with front-wheel drive; the rest are exclusively all-wheel-drive.

Not much has changed since the NX’s big makeover in 2022. Lexus opted for minor updates to the 2025 model, including a striking new finish called Copper Crest that shimmers in a rose gold hue. Macadamia is the new interior colour for 2025, available only in the cabin of Luxury-trim models. A wireless charger can be added to any grade, and two additional USB-C ports are tucked inside the front console as standard along with rain-sensing windshield wipers and a power liftgate. Lexus also made its intuitive parking assist with automatic braking standard across the board.

2025 Toyota Crown Signia

The only powertrain you can get in the Crown Signia is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors, one at each axle meaning the Crown Signia comes standard with all-wheel drive. The engine and motors produce a combined 243 horsepower, which is 7 hp more than the Crown sedan.

The Crown Signia will be offered in both XLE and Limited trim levels. Although it’s several thousand dollars more expensive to start, the Limited is the one to get, as it adds leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, 21-inch wheels, heated rear seats, and an 11-speaker JBL stereo system.

2025 Kia Seltos

For the 2025 Kia Seltos, parking sensors and a motion-activated power liftgate are now standard on more versions of the Seltos, while the base S trim level adds a 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster and redesigned 17-inch alloy wheels to its roster of features.

The Seltos make a strong first impression with its huge front grille, complex headlights, and myriad small details. An abundance of unpainted trim hints at some off-roadiness, but the Seltos won’t scramble too far up a trail. It’s more calming inside, particularly since most versions now have a pair of 10.3-inch screens, including an instrument cluster and a touchscreen for infotainment. They’re well-integrated, and the dash retains conventional buttons and knobs for many functions.

The base inline-4 puts out a modest 147 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque through a CVT, and that’s barely enough for highway passing or driving in hilly or mountainous areas. At 31 mpg combined, though, the front-drive version of the Seltos offers reasonable fuel economy. AWD models slide to 29 mpg combined.

2025 Mercedes Benz GLE 450

The GLE class’s exterior styling is lightly altered for 2024, to make a perfect 2025 GLE 450, including a revised front bumper design, an updated grille, new lighting elements, and restyled wheels. A new steering wheel has been added with touch-sensitive controls on the spokes. Updated chrome trim around the air vents and new two-tone upholstery options have been added to the options sheet. The GLE class also features the second generation of Mercedes’ MBUX infotainment interface, which now includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

ABS brakes automatically sense when a tyre has stopped rotating under extreme braking, and will modulate the brake pressure to allow the tyre to rotate. This increases the vehicle’s ability to turn while braking. Stepping up to the GLE450 brings standard all-wheel drive and a 362-hp powertrain that consists of a turbocharged inline-six.

An SUV may be better than a smaller car for some lifestyles as they are often safer, more practical, and equipped with a range of technology. This allows them to complete a range of tasks easily, including anything from the weekly shop to active adventures in the countryside.

If you’re a frequent off-road goer, then SUVs are the perfect companion as they can deal with rough terrain more effectively. 4×4 systems (optional on some models) reduce the risk of getting stuck in a muddy field when camping or on an adventure, while elevated ride heights ensure you’re not scraping your underside on rocks and uneven ground.
