The 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class looks to the future, Still has a traditional sedan design

Mercedes has revealed the W214 2024 E-Class and it comes in a sporty and luxurious flavour just like how every Mercedes should these days. The design is evolutionary and takes inspiration from the S-Class and EQ lineup with an integrated style front facia, Mercedes star taillights, and a big imposing grill. It will launch in E350 and E450 and overall it’s 1in longer with 18in up to 21in wheel options. Rear steering up to 4.5 degrees is optional as is Air Suspension.

Under the hood are nearly identical powertrains. The E350 gets a 2.0L Turbo 4-cylinder mild hybrid making 255HP and 295 lb-ft of torque while the E450 gets a Turbo inline-6 mild hybrid making 375HP and 369 lb-ft of torque through a 9-speed gearbox.

The Superscreen will be optional and includes a larger infotainment display, a passenger display, and a separate driver’s display. Third-party apps can be installed too along with Android Auto / Apple CarPlay. The App Store will increase over time but at launch will be TikTok and Zoom. Webex and more.

The interior also has a selfie and video camera on the dash. There also is an extensive ambient light system, 17 speaker Burmester 4D audio on offer, 5G connectivity, and more. No pricing info is out yet.

Naturally, the German automaker is aiming for solid performance for this executive sedan so people might get angry (birds) that the C, E, and S-Class models will share many design traits. Those might come so close to the point of mistaking one for the other, but at least this teaser seems to focus on something feisty possibly the AMG-branded models or at least the AMG Line variants.

Now that the cat is almost out of the bag, we can only wait and hope that Mercedes has thought about everything.
