Hyundai has given the Sonata a fresh look for 2024. The updated model has replaced the previous funky daytime running lights that were parallel to the hood with new ones that stretch across the front bumper. The taillights and rear bumper cover have also been redesigned. However, the most significant changes have been made to the interior. The car now features a single curved display mount with two 12.3-inch touchscreens for the infotainment system.
While we’ve already seen the facelifted model, Hyundai unveiled the spec sedan earlier today and it adopts a Sensuous Sportiness design that incorporates a Seamless Horizon Lamp that spans the width of the front end. It’s joined by a new front bumper, larger intakes, and ‘hidden’ headlights.

The steering wheel has also been updated, and the gear selector has been moved from the centre console to a knob on the steering column. On the mechanical side, all-wheel drive is now an available option, but only for cars with the base 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine.
For buyers seeking a more aggressive look, the Sonata N Line is an option to consider. It features a larger grille and unique 19-inch alloy wheels. Additionally, the sedan comes equipped with a four-tailpipe exhaust system and a more prominent spoiler. The model also offers exclusive Aero Matte Silver paint, which has a bright and clean metallic pigment that changes its warmth and coolness depending on the light.
The changes to the rear are less extensive, but customers will find new “H-lights” that are designed to emphasize the car’s width and “high-tech character.” They’re joined by a sporty bumper and a black spoiler.
The 2024 Hyundai Sonata is expected to arrive in Nigeria by the end of 2023. The pricing details for the car will be released closer to its launch. However, it is expected that the car will be priced higher than the 2023 model, which starts at ₦21 million. After adding the necessary duties, the cost of the 2024 Hyundai Sonata is expected to be around ₦35 million at dealerships in Nigeria
