Our shipping vessels depart on a weekly basis from all five U.S. seaports listed above to the Lagos port. We do not offer container shipping from the U.S. to Nigeria, only RoRo shipping.

Shared Container Shipping

One of the most common options is to use a container ship to transport multiple vehicles. This method is more affordable, but it requires that the whole container be filled with other cars before it can be loaded and transported.

Your departure date can’t be guaranteed. If you choose this method, you might have to wait for a week or more to see if the container will be full of more cars. This method also allows you to pack additional items inside your vehicle.

Unlike RoRo, this method does not require your vehicle to be working. Also, it’s a valid option for people who own classic cars that need to be transported to Nigeria. If you have two or more vehicles that need to be transported to the country, this is a good choice.

Exclusive Container Shipping

Exclusive container shipping will cost you more but your car is the only one in the container – great news if you have exotic, expensive or rare vehicles like Bentleys, Ferraris, Aston Martins, etc. When you want special treatment for your “baby,” shipping exclusive is the way to go.

Advantages:

• You can ship vehicles that do not work.
• You can include personal belongings along with your car.
• Each container holds a single vehicle.

RoRo Shipping (Roll On/Roll Off)

If your vehicle is in working condition and you plan on shipping it to Nigeria, RoRo shipping is a good choice. This method is very efficient and cost-effective, as it provides you with reliable and predictable arrival and departure dates. All of your cars are tied to the deck and protected from the elements.

One of our most popular options is Roll On/Roll Off, which is very affordable and convenient. It can be used for various types of wheeled vehicles such as cars, boats, campers, and buses. Keep in mind that these have to be able to be driven on their own.

How Much Does it Cost to Ship a Car to Nigeria?

The basic cost to ship a car from all five U.S. ports to Nigeria is $1,335. But these are not final prices, as some factors may change the price you pay a bit.

• Your final price may change with the area of the USA from which your car is being shipped. For instance, it costs less to ship from the East Coast than from the West Coast. So it will cost more if you are departing out of Freeport TX than Newark, NJ. 
• Your final price may change with the method chosen to get your car to the U.S. port. Some people live close to the departure port and decide to take their own car there. This costs less. Some people live too far from the nearest port and would rather pay our truck drivers to transport their car from their home to the port. This costs more.  
• Your final price may change with the size of your vehicle. In general, it costs more to ship a larger car than a smaller one. So you won’t pay as much to ship a compact car as you would a truck or SUV.
