The first prototype of Rolls-first Royce‘s electric automobile, dubbed “Spectre,” was unveiled today by the company. The company also stated that it will transition to an all-electric vehicle by 2030. Charles Rolls experienced an early electric car in 1900, which was competing with gasoline-powered vehicles at the time.

He stated: “The electric car is perfectly noiseless and clean. There is no smell or vibration, and they should become very useful when fixed charging stations can be arranged. But for now, I do not anticipate that they will be very serviceable – at least for many years to come.”

It’s taken more than a century, but electric cars are finally gaining traction, and Rolls-Royce is getting in on the act.
Torsten Müller-tvös, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, unveiled the brand’s first electric vehicle:
“Today, 117 years later, I am proud to announce that Rolls-Royce is to begin the on-road testing program for an extraordinary new product that will elevate the global all-electric car revolution and create the first – and finest – a super-luxury product of its type. This is not a prototype. It’s the real thing, it will be tested in plain sight and our clients will take first deliveries of the car in the fourth quarter of 2023.”
Apart from the name and the release date, Rolls-Royce hasn’t revealed anything about the vehicle.
The manufacturer has released photos of a carefully camouflaged prototype that it claims will resemble the final product.
Along with the unveiling of its first electric vehicle, Rolls-Royce also announced that the company will be entirely electric by the end of the decade. As a result, expect more electric vehicles from the company in the near future.
