How The Season Six Bbn Housemates Make Their Money
Tasks sponsored by the housemates provide ample opportunities to enrich their pockets. The winners of these tasks are given cash and gift prizes by BBNaija sponsors.
The first of this fast cash came from Glover, who gave Arin, JayPaul, Emmanuel, Niyi, Yousef, Saskay and White Money $500 each (over ₦205,000). After this first cash prize, the next series of wins increased significantly.
Airtel showed up with a little below ₦143,000 given to seven housemates who won their task. WAW quickly showed up the following week with ₦1 million shared among the six winners of their task, and they gave every single Housemate a one year supply of product.
All these happened before the arrival of the ‘new’ housemates after the first Sunday eviction. These new housemates were JMK, Michael, Kayvee and Queen. Things quickly took up a new vibe as these housemates joined other contestants, and more sponsors came up with more cash.
Guinness was next in line to give a sponsored task that awarded the seven winning Housemates half a million Naira and half a year’s supply of Guinness. That’s a lot of money and a lot of beer!
Next to come up to splash money on the housemates was SuperSport. A whopping sum of ₦300 000 was given to the five winners from the “puzzle phase” of their task, and a quarter of a million at each of the six members of Team Premium, who won the “artistic expressions” phase of the Task.
Coming up next was Darling hair who awarded ₦750 000 to five Housemates. Next was Storm who threw in ₦1.5 million for the six winners of their Task.
Tecno decided to play it big with their cash prizes for housemates who win their tasks. They came up with three separate rounds of awards to three separate teams: The winners of the two Teaser rounds of their Task got richer with ₦100 000 along with Tecno branded items, and the five winners of the Main Task each took home a quarter of a million Naira and a Tecno Phantom smartphone.
Patricia, one of the biggest sponsors of BBNaija, awarded the winners of their Task with Bitcoin to the value of $1000 – that’s about ₦510,000.
Dano was next to get in on the action with ₦300,000 for each of the Task’s winners, along with a year’s supply of Dano products.
SupaKomando played it big, even though just two housemates were given cash prizes. A whopping ₦2 million went to Cross and Saskay, each, along with a year’s supply of Supa Kommando and a one year contract as Supa Kommando brand influencers. Super amazing! It’s no surprise then that Cross and Saskay made it to the top 10 list of richest housemates in Big Brother Naija season 6.
