BMW unveils M Performance parts catalog for new M5 Series

According to BMW, most of its newest M Performance accessories will be available immediately after the market launch of its redesigned 5-Series sedan this July. Meanwhile, buyers can access specific M Performance parts for the newest M5 and M5 Competition beginning this August.

Yes, you heard that right, BMW M has unveiled new performance parts for the M5! The set of parts on offer is mainly appearance but some offer actual upgrades and evens reduce weight. Dynamically, drivers can purchase upgraded M performance coiliover suspension with up to 20mm lower height. There are also M 20in Y spoke wheels! But wait!!! There’s more!

Under the hood are a 4.4L TT V8 in the M5 making 600HP and 553 lb-ft of torque going to all four wheels through Mx-Drive capable of AWD or RWD modes. The M5 Comp makes 617HP. The 8 speed gearbox remains and 0-60 happens under 3.2sec.

Now we get to the extensive carbon options like the carbon fiber grille that actually really enhances the look of the car, then carbon fiber motor caps, carbon fiber side strakes, a carbon insert in the bumper, carbon diffuser, carbon spoiler, carbon tailpipes, and carbon gas cap! Inside is a special M sports Alcantara here with carbon inserts and even carbon paddle shifters with a blue 12 o’clock marker! Expect loads of these to be standard on the M5 CS.
