2020 Ford Mustang Models, Prices, Reviews, and Pictures in Nigeria

One of America’s best car exports to the world is the Ford Mustang manufactured by Ford, which was originally conceived by Lee Iacocca. The Mustang debuted on April 17, 1964, with a manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) of $2,368 and estimated annual sales of 100,000. The first-year sales were over 400,000 units and one million within two years. The selling price of that period is, of course, equivalent to the same price range the model is purchased for today. The Mustang was such a hit it was recorded that in Garland, Texas 15 customers gathered to bid on the same Mustang. The situation became comical when the bidder who won choose to sleep overnight in his new car to prevent the car dealer from reselling it without his knowledge before his check could clear.

On an opening day for sales, dealers took 22,000 Mustang orders and by the first 12 months in the market, the Mustang sales increased to an astounding 417,000. By the turn of two years, the sales had grown to an astonishing one million and counting.  Halderman’s recounts that, in the process of designing and producing the Mustang, the Mustang broke 77 of Ford’s “rules.” The Mustang is an amazing car and the world loved it as it began making big-screen appearances in 1964 and has featured in hundreds of notable high profile films. The James Bond franchise listed the Mustang in their 1964 film Goldfinger, which that the first film that promoted Ford’s new sporty car where a beautiful assassin drove in the 1964 white convertible.

The second-generation model “Mustang II”, was introduced on September 21, 1973, with its First-year sales miserly selling only about 385,993 cars, unlike the Mustang I that sold a record of 418,812 in its opening first 12 months. The Mustang III came on board in 1979 offering body styles based on coupé, convertible and hatchback. It model variants include: Ghia (1979–1981), Cobra (1979–1981, 1993), L (1982–1984), GL (1982–1983), GLX (1982–1983), GT (1982–1993), Turbo GT (1983–1984), LX (1984–1993), GT-350 20th Anniversary Edition (1984), SVO (1984–1986) and Cobra R (1993). In November 1993, the Mustang IV debuted with a redesign after nearly fifteen years hiatus and by 2005 ford launched the fifth edition of the illustrious Mustang brand, before adding their sixth edition that is still in vogue till present.  In this article, we will be reviewing the 2020 Mustang models, their features and prices.

The downside of the Ford Mustang

Overheating engine every now and then due to their inferior radiator. Another downside is the rust problem, most owners have complained about this and also the easy hose braking system.
