Fancy number plates are always in high demand and motor enthusiasts push their boundaries to own them. In a similar way, a Dubai man recently bought the ‘P7’ number plate for a whopping $15 million during a charity auction. The purchase has set a new world record and the amount fetched from the most expensive number in the world would be contributed towards the ‘1 Billion Meals Endowment’ campaign.
Can you believe it? The man has set a new world record by purchasing the most expensive number plate in the world for over $15 million. The clip shared by Emirates Auction, an auction company in the Middle East, on Instagram, shows the man winning the auction. Fireworks light up the stage as he waves hands in front of the audience and 55 million dirham is displayed on the screen in the background.
The Noblest Number charity auction, which kicked off on April 4 and concluded on April 10, has raised a total of AED 97.920 million(approximately 27 million dollars). The $15 million collected from ‘P7’ will be used for the largest Ramadan sustainable food aid endowment fund.

But wait, there’s more! The charity auction was held for a great cause. A Khaleej Times report said that the campaign aims to provide a food safety net for underprivileged populations in countries grappling with food security and provide aid to those affected by natural disasters and other crises. In total, 555 special Abu Dhabi plate numbers were displayed during the auction.
Major General Khalifa Muhammad Al Khaili, director of the Finance and Services Sector at Abu Dhabi Police, was quoted as saying by Gulf News, “The impressive outcome of the Most Noble Numbers charity auction reflects the values of giving and generosity deeply rooted in the UAE community, whose members rush to the aid of those in need everywhere.”
This is such heartwarming news. It’s amazing to see how people come together for a good cause and set new records while doing so. The act of giving is truly priceless and it’s heartening to see that the UAE community is so deeply rooted in generosity and compassion.
