NDLEA agents apprehend two people and seize a motorized concrete mixer used to conceal 2000kg of cannabis. The concrete mixer truck destined for Mubi, Adamawa State, was loaded in Ondo State. The two male suspects were apprehended with the cannabis at Girei in the State’s Girei LGA.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has discovered another storehouse of illicit cannabis Sativa in the suburb of Guma local government area, as well as seized a truckload of the same illicit drug in Benue state.
On Thursday, December 2nd, NDLEA operatives apprehended a concrete mixer truck carrying 2000.6kg of cannabis, colloquially known as ‘Igbo.’

The street value of the recovered illegal narcotic was believed to be more than N1.4 billion.
NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi said in a statement that two suspects, Matthew Donuwe and Friday Nborgwu, were arrested in connection with the drugs.
Babafemi went on to say that the suspects said they spent a month on the road from Ondo state, where the drugs were loaded, aiming to deliver the consignment in Mubi, Adamawa before being apprehended at Girei in the state’s Girei LGA.
In related news, NDLEA agents intercepted 608.40kg of Cannabis sativa hidden in a black Toyota Sequoia in Oyo State. On Friday, December 3rd, the SUV was reportedly parked at the toll gate area of the Ibadan-Ife expressway, Egbeda LGA, Ibadan.
