During his visit, Mr Osanipin engaged in a productive dialogue with the Honourable Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment in Ekiti State, Honourable Fasae Kayode Omotayo. Discussions centred on potential collaborations aimed at enhancing the growth of the automotive industry.

Hon. Omotayo underscored the Ministry’s commitment to job creation and expressed gratitude to the Federal Government for its numerous initiatives in the State, including the establishment of the training centre. He emphasized the Center’s potential to empower individuals through knowledge transfer and skill development. Osanipin also met with Hon. Longe (Member House of Assembly Ikole/Oye constituency).

Osanipin also emphasized the importance of empowering the youths, especially the automotive artisans through training in modern automotive innovations such as mechatronics technology. He expressed the Council’s readiness to partner with private entities to invest in the Nigerian auto industry, as well as effectively manage skills development centres, thus contributing to job and wealth creation.

Furthermore, the NADDC Boss elaborated on the Council’s industrial and skills development programs to bridge the knowledge and skill gap in the industry. Some of such initiatives include the Sector Skill Council, and National Occupational Standard (NOS), amongst others, which are aimed at developing comprehensive training curricula and standards for the automotive sector in sync with international best standards.

The Automotive Training Centre is one of the very many projects of the Council geared towards job creation and economic empowerment across the country.
