The King of England, King Charles owns a private jet worth billions of Naira, and in 2020, the plane got a $12 million repainting to make it look modern.

While the Royal family is known to be private, avoiding sharing details of their personal lives online, exclusive views of the King’s private jet surface online as he and his wife, Camila embark on their first high-profile tour of Kenya.

The King of England uses the British government’s VIP aircraft known as the Air Force Voyager. When travelling, the royal family are given a whole fleet of aircraft to choose from, just like a wealthy celebrity will choose the car to drive on a particular day.

Interestingly, the private jet the royals use can also be used by the prime minister and members of the government for state business.

One of the interesting features of the King’s plane is that it is an aerial refuelling tanker, able to dispense fuel to another aircraft mid-air.

The plane was revamped in 2016, making it suitable to accommodate special guests by adding 56 brand-new first-class seats. By 2020, $12 million was spent repainting the aircraft.

The plane also comes with a 100 seating arrangement since the royals travel with entourage–staff, government members, and a select crew of journalists and photographers.
