One of the two Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Edition cars used in the movie “The Wolf of Wall Street” sold for a record $1.65 million at an RM Sotheby’s auction in New York on December 8th, 2023.

This particular car, identified by chassis #KLA12722, is the only surviving model from the film, with its counterpart ending up as a wreck.

Despite its high mileage, the car’s value was significantly boosted due to its cinematic history, far exceeding the typical value for a Countach of this model, which is around $500,000.

The Countach was central to a haunting sequence in the film, in which stockbroker Jordan Belfort, played by DiCaprio, drove the supercar home while high on Quaaludes.

It was one of two Lamborghini Countach vehicles used on set; the other was destroyed in the stunt, driving with its scissor doors open and colliding with objects and other vehicles.
